TPC GROUP CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $140,000 AND SURPASSES $1 MILLION RAISED IN 13 YEARS

HOUSTON (October 22, 2018) – TPC Group (TPC) announced today that it will donate$140,000 to nonprofit beneficiaries of its 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Since 2006, TPC’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament, the Company’s largest community investment initiative, has donated more than $1,000,000 collectively to 30 non-profit organizations across Southeast Texas.

“TPC Group is proud of this annual event, which has raised more than $1 million for more than 30 nonprofit organizations in 13 years. In 2019, we raised $140,000 for 15 nonprofit organizations that are serving our community’s youth, seniors and veterans, and focusing efforts on health, education and environment,” said TPC Group Director, Corporate Communications and Government Affairs. “Our Company’s commitment to community is ever-present in the support, hard work and efforts made by our employees to help make the Tournament a success.”

More than 83 applications were submitted by nonprofit organizations to be considered for funding from the 2018 Tournament. The extensive efforts of the Golf Tournament Charity Selection Committee, comprised of employee volunteers, selected 15 nonprofit organizations for 2018: Adaptive Sports for Kids, Inc.; Barrio Dogs; Buffalo Bayou Partnership; Cherish Our Children International (COCI); Estelle & Allen Fetters Center; H.E.A.R.T. Program; IEA – Inspire, Encourage, Achieve; Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program; Mental Health America of Greater Houston; Mental Health American of Southeast Texas; Nutrition & Services for Seniors; Precinct2gether, Inc.; Sarah’s House; TEACH – To Educate All Children and YWCA of Houston.

The success of the TPC Group Annual Charity Golf Tournament relies on the support of its sponsors. This year’s presenting sponsors were B&E Resources and Next Wave Energy Partners.
