Our GHG working team is focused on evaluating emissions and reducing our carbon footprint in the most financially efficient way.
TPC Group has reduced butadiene emissions from our Houston operations by more than 90 percent since 2004. Replacing existing equipment with more efficient technology has reduced nitrogen oxide by more than 180 tons. We have increased capacity by 20 percent since 2019 without increasing emissions.
We have increased boiler reliability and performance, driving steam efficiencies and utility systems reliability. Our recent investment to reduce unnecessary boiler blowdowns will potentially save 19,136,000 gallons of water a year. Since 2012 we have reduced our hazardous waste by up to 80 percent.
